Wholesale E-commerce Marketplace
The goal of this project was to optimize the discovery process in order to help retailers find the products they want with less time and friction. In order to better understand our users’ goals and browsing patterns, I categorized the platform into two areas–explore and revisit.
My Role: UX/UI Design
The goal for the areas that fall under exploration, such as the nav and search, was to improve the experience for retailers that are browsing more passively. For example, we surfaced recent searches and best selling brands on the search dropdown for easy access and high visibility. In contrast, we focused on optimizing for checkout on the reorder page, where the user has a higher intention to buy.
When we look at areas on the platform that have the highest add to cart conversion rate, 8 of the top 10 were from search, including three sections that were newly added in the redesign.
